There are a lot of logistics when you plan on hiking for 5 months.

Even with our utmost preparedness, what made this trip so exciting was the many unknown variables we faced along the way! We traveled northbound on the Pacific Crest Scenic Trail.  We departed from Campo, CA at the border of Mexico on April 19th, 2010 and finished in Manning Park, Canada on September 13th, 2010. Below are links to pages which give a little more insight about our trip.

  • Our Itinerary breaks down the towns we passed through and when. (Also shows where we picked up mail)
  • Trail Stats – Breaks down our mileage each day and gives a brief synopsis of daily news.
  • Our Gear Lists lay out what we started out with as well as weight calculations. Unfortunately we do not have a gear list of what we had towards the end of our trip… in all, we’d probably have 6 or 7 gear lists each if we were that detail oriented.
  • Detailed maps show the topography of our trip with exact elevation changes for each region we traveled.
