South America by Bicycle 2011-12: Sponsorships

I believe that life is not measured by the things we have or the money in our wallets, but measured rather by the miles on our shoes.  Last year my girlfriend and I hiked from Mexico to Canada to raise awareness and scholarship funds to help low-income students attend outdoor science school.  This year we have another adventure, equally as grand.  With the same goals in mind to live in the moment and enjoy the journey, we would again like to support a greater cause for humanity.

My girlfriend and I are educators, outdoor enthusiasts, personal fitness trainers, University of California graduates, and founders of InspireOut.com.  In August 2011 we are embarking on a 10,000 km self-supported bicycle tour from Lima, Peru down the backbone of the Andes to the Southernmost City in the World, Ushuaia, Argentina.

Our primary goals include safety and growth, and the ability to share and inspire those who follow our journal entries and video blogs online.  A trip of this magnitude takes logistical preparation and support and we are looking to support a cause that parallels our beliefs and values.  Our trip is set to begin from Lima, Peru on the 14th of August and will complete in Buenos Aires around February, 2012.

With your support as a sponsor you will receive the following benefits:

-       Logo recognition to your company’s homepage on our Sponsors Page

-       Logo recognition of our cycling jersey or gear

-       Use of photos taken on trip

-       Use of photos of products in use

-       Our participation in events promoting your products

-       Feedback and testing of future products for trips

-       Ads on website.

We are selective in choosing whom we are seeking sponsorship support from and are only selecting companies who have a positive reputation, great service, green ethics, and solid business practices.  Levels of sponsorship include discounts, free products or services, or expenses paid and gift donations.

I would like to mention that we both work for non-profit outdoor science schools, live very frugally, and believe that traveling is a form of nurturing the soul.

We look forward to hearing back from you about the possibilities of supporting us.
