T-minus 3 days until we depart for our 6 month cycling tour in South America.  We are riding from Lima, Peru down the Andes mountain range to the tip of South America.  The butterflies are a fluttering as we finish up our last minute to do lists.  Soon I will have all the details we have thus far about our trip posted on our Expeditions menu bar.  Things have really been coming down to the wire for us with this tour as we both had action packed summers – Justin was an amazing head coach for the Arden Park Dolpins recreation swim team located in Sacramento and I created an outdoor education program for the City of Vacaville (You can see more about my camp here).  The icing on the cake occurred this weekend when my beautiful mother, Deb, married her love, Ron, at their picturesque home.  It was a beautiful ceremony and such a treat to see our growing family before our long bicycle ride.  I am very happy for their exciting future together.  The incredible photographer, Charles Le, based out of San Jose, CA has breathtaking photos we will post soon enough (you get to see Buckeye & Swift all dolled up!).

As we figure out how to transport our bikes via plane and make last minute decisions about gear, I wanted to share a special video I made about our past excursion hiking the Pacific Crest Trail last year.  I hope it gives you a glimpse at what our experience entailed as well as inspires some outdoor exploration of your own!
